About Termez

Termez is a historic city in southern Uzbekistan, located on the banks of the Amu Darya River, near the border with Afghanistan. It has a population of around 120,000–150,000 people. Termez is one of Uzbekistan’s oldest cities and is famous for its archaeological sites, history, and cultural significance.

History
Termez has a history of over 2,500 years. It was an important city on the Silk Road, connecting Central Asia with India, Persia, and China.
